Starring Courage the Cowardly Dog

One of my favourite dogs! COURAGE!

Well, i started off by sketching my type of courage on top. Then i just cut out eyes, nose, ears, mouth and limbs for it. Oh! And don't forget his tail and spots! Remember details of the back is equally important as those in the front!

Stuffing time! Let's make sure he gets all the nutrients he should have now that he's away from  Eustace! I like a lot of cartoon old mans (ie. from Smurfs, up, etc), but definitely not him! hehe..

Details~ Give him a good (awkward) smile and eye bags (Don't judge! He has been using so much effort taking care of Muriel!) Sew him some eyebrows as well~

So here's how his back part looks like. I don't even know if I have even gotten this right. I seldom see the whole thing of his back!

So, comparing it with my sketch, it doesn't differ a lot. Does it?

Here's the front!

Try it yourself! Sew your own favourite characters! Now that I think of it, I used to love the two very stupid dogs from cartoon network. Hmm.. Will they be coming up next?!

Felt racoon and owl plushies

Apologies again for the awful long time it takes me to publish a new post. I have just finished my second year, so... you know what this means?!! Hehe. There are MORE and MORE to come!!

Below are just a few examples (actually only two ><) of felt plushies and like always they have been given away.

Prepare your felt and start cutting out shapes. Be kind to it! Give it some basic features like nose, tail, etc...

Start sewing some expressions to your plushie and give it a smile! It will brighten your day!

Sew it a bushy tail

Flip open its tail and you will see its smile :) Aww...

This is actually my favourite part! Stuff it!

A raccoon is born!

Okay off to my second design~

Cut out the shapes and features that you want. Be creative!

Give it some expression so that it feels more alive.

Sew around its eyes.

Sew around its beak and feet!

Sew around its outer eyes (mask) to enhance its details.

Now, you are ready to stuff it :)

[From top view] Wow, it seems like i have overfed it. Hehe...

Here you go! A fat chubby owl :D

They are once good friends.. I'm sorry but I need to separate you two...

You can view it differently (in video version) ^_^ by clicking the weblink below :) Go ahead and try it yourself!
