Snow Globe

Hohoho... Dash into the snow~ ...
A little too early for christmas.
Haha. I know.
Oh and this is not a globe either. Perhaps I should introduce it as Snow 'Jar'.
The little things inside are made of fimo!
So what can you see from outside?

A 'Welcome' sign just in front of a house.
But did you spot the little stream down the snow hill?
The ultimate part: Where's Santa?
He's stuck in the chimney!!

Little snowman with a bowtie and a hat! Don't forget about the trees!
Last but not least, many snowballs! And boy, they are so heavy!!! I made them out of fimo too. Then I found out it won't swirl with the water when i shake the whole thing. Well... It just sink. :(
Note to self: Use baking soda instead. It won't dissolve anyway.

PLuSh postoffice

Have you ever sent a letter? Well, the design of letter inspires me. So, here it is! A letter book! The pages are 'postcards'. Thus, you can actually tear it, write something on it and give it to someone. Yes, I know it's tiny, but don't forget that it's also special.

Have you spot the mini letter book?

A mini stamp to match with mini letter :)

The first page (postcard) shows a picture of a postdog holding a birthday cupcake. There are 4 different postcard designs in it.

This is 'sent' to one of my friends. :D

The back of the letter.  ^_____^

Pin Plushie

Oh dear.. What's this?! I don't really know either. Well it could be one-third cake, one-third cookie and one-third doughnut! :)
This is made especially for a 5-year-old birthday girl.

Look! There's icing with colorful sprinkles on top.

Here's the back part.

Pyjamas

Totoro pyjamas
So... How does it look? This was made last year. This masterpiece of mind was made when I first bought fabric to play along. Who am I kidding. I don't have tailoring skills at all, but at least the outcome isn't that bad. :)
Have a look shall we?

I leave out the ears as I find out my pyjamas is better off without it. Then I sew two pockets, so that I can place my handphone inside when I'm walking around in it. :D

Well, the bad part of it is that I have to wash it by hands everytime I wear it.
*still proud of it*

Mini Book

My sister (my so-called critic) has a lot of comments on my aweful small handmade stuff. What she has in mind: Bigger BETTER! Yet, I ignore her and challenge myself to make an even smaller one! Have a look! I prefer small because it's much easier to be stored and that it looks more delicate! So, welcome to my small small world!
The cover!

The pages! (Footprints)

HANDmade bag

Was trying to make something different. This is my first time and I can't help to say that I'm kinda proud of myself. Haha
Anyway, I made a few mistakes..
1. I bought the fabric before designing my bag, thus
- I don't have a long zip when i need one.
2. I bought only half meter of the fabric (cheaper!), so
- my bag is small and flat.
- my design can only be simple.

So, this is how it looks like ;)

Inner bag is sewn with another fabric.

Here's the inner pocket!

My bag with my file inside it.

A really small side-pocket.

PLuSh phonebook

This is the one that you will normally find hanging from my phone.. This was made few years ago.. So I'm not surprise that it turned out this way (old and dirty) And my family usually complained about it. Haha..

I find this interesting: people normally would be curious about what the book's content is and they normally like to play with the button. Unfortunately, I didn't thought of anything good to write in it.. Until one day, one of my friends asked why didn't I write down the contacts from my phone.

So, Tadaa!! This new one took me quite some time as I have to copy all my contacts down.. This is the front part...

And yea this is the back part..

My friend's favourite character! I gave one to her long time ago and this mickey belongs to me :D I wonder how donald and pluto would look like as felt plush. (:

Gift Boxes

Gift Boxes

I always scold my friends for buying gift boxes that cost so much. Why not make your own? Okay maybe it isn't that tough for square boxes, but whatabout boxes with the shape of a love, etc.? I will give it a go next time!

Choose bright and another contrasting colour papers! This will make your boxes stand out. Give it some details to make it more attractive.

The best part is pen, scissors, glue, papers are all you need :) What are you waiting for, give it a go!

Left: Gift box wrapped using printed out pattern/design. (2nd gift box)
Right: Gift box with hand-drawn pattern (1st box made-not very good looking)

Pokka dots! (4th box)

How did I get the idea of making gift boxes? Thanks to my sister because the main reason is because of her. The thought of making this came to me when my sister asked my dad to buy her a colourful gift boxes so that she could put presents into it and could give it to her friends. The price wasn't cheap at all! Then I gave her some lectures and told her that even I could make one of those.. So the story ends up like this. *A Happy Ending*
Anyway, it would be nice and thoughtful, let alone meaningful, if we could reuse things once in a while.
Procedure:

1. Cut a used up toilet paper roll into two with one thicker than the other. Cover each open-sided end with a cardboard circles.

2. Design your own patterns and print it out! Any patterns will do. A simple software to design (-PAINT is good enough!)

3. Cut the printed out pattern and wrapped it around your toilet roll.
4. Wrap the other half until you get something that looks like this.

5. Cut out circles to cover the ends and the inside of the box.

6. After covering the inside of both boxes, they should look like as the above picture.

7. Then wrap the inner box with a thick and a thin piece of paper. You can use coloured paper instead. And there you have it! Your own gift boxes. :D

*You are encouraged to print your patterns on a used paper, after all we are trying to recycle things here.:)

Well, the 4th box is made from this. I got the box from my brother. Haha..

Felt flower

Felt rose
What can we make from felt?! A rose! ( and many more but i only manage to make this one). Where is it now? Well if he still keeps it.. then yea it's with him. He's the one and only kind headmaster of my primary school and he has retired. I wish him well in all his days.

Pencil Case

Sponge sheet pencil case

#4 Minion Pencil Case

Is Anyone still in for some minion fever?! This is made for a special someone of mine, but he/she doesn't know about it yet :)

This time, I took my sister's advice and tried using other material to make it. Let's see, the best part about using this material is that it would not become very 'furry' looking like my Lots o huggin bear pencil case. (I think it will last longer) Also, this material doesn't absorb water and it is much lighter than felt. Of course, the bad part is, it is hard to be sewn by machine, so I finish most of the part using hand :(

I prefer one eye over two eyes although all of them are adorable :D

#3 Blue totoro purse

( I'm so glad that my hard work had paid off! With this masterpiece, i finally earn myself a customer who wish me to make a purse for her. But not just any purse! It's based on Howl's Moving Castle Calcifer! And that purse is in the middle of process.)

#2 Totoro pencil case :)

*I'm not finish with this yet because I have no more long zip! Will finish this piece of work when i buy the zip. So stay tuned!*

#1 Lots o Huggin Bear!
(I love this bear indeed! And he's now my pencil case! I have been using it for over a year, so its condition isn't as what it was like before, but it's precious!)
